Make Your Event Memorable
The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is a new spectacular venue located on the Fort Port Channel with 360-degree views of the beautiful Boston Harbor and the surrounding cityscape. In addition to stunning scenic backgrounds, you will find authentic, costumed colonial actors at the Museum committed to making your special event or wedding exceptional.
The Ships
The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum will feature two authentic replica tall ships, the Beaver and the Eleanor, that took part in the Boston Tea Party event on December 16, 1773.. Onboard these ships, you will explore the ships’ decks, crew’s quarters and cargo rooms. You and your guests will relive the infamous night when 342 crates of British tea were dumped into the sea. The third ship, the Dartmouth, will begin construction in 2013.
The Museum
The Museum provides a unique immersion in history by representing a key time in history (1773 – 1775), through a multitude of easy-to-understand, state-of-the-art exhibits, movies, living history programs, artifacts and memorabilia. The Museum tells the story of the immediate aftermath and the consequences that led to the “shot heard round the world” that was the beginning of the American Revolution.
