John Spurr

John Spurr was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1748. In addition to his role in the Boston Tea Party, he enlisted in the Revolutionary Army in 1775 and was commissioned as a captain in a Rhode Island regiment in 1776, and eventually attained the rank of Colonel. He later died November 1st, 1822 and is buried in the Central Burying Ground, Tomb 5.
