Cataclysmic Boston: The Nature of Urban Change

On March 23, 2016, Old North Church Foundation Spring Speaker Series presents a compelling presentation by architectural photographer and author, Peter Vanderwarker on how a historic city in a unique environment tries to reinvent itself without self-destruction.

During the evening presentation at Old North Church, Peter Vanderwarker will examine this phenomenon through extensive references to maps and his award-winning photographs.
Peter Vanderwarker’s books include “The Big Dig: Reshaping an American City” and “Cityscapes of Boston” co-authored with Robert Campbell. His photographs are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts. His work has won Institute Honors from the American Institute of Architects, and he was a Loeb Fellow at Harvard University in 1997.
