School Break at the Revere House

It’s fast approaching that time of year again – February Vacation Week! Children are excited; parents are looking for fun and engaging things for them to do. The Revere House is ready with special family programs and activities on February 17, 18, and 19.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 10:30 am – 12:00 noon
The Revere Family at Work
Children (and their accompanying adults) tour the Revere House to learn about the jobs Paul Revere’s family did both in and out of their home and then try their hand at two different tasks. Each participant stuffs and sews a headache bag and engraves a design on a piece of copper to take home.

Program is limited to 20 people. Reservations are required. Call the Revere House at 617-523-2338 for reservations. Fee: $4.50 for children ages 5-11, and accompanying adults. Price includes admission to the Revere House.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 11:00 am
Hands-on Tour of the Paul Revere House.
Designed to bring a historic house to life by offering opportunities to engage with reproduction objects in each room of the house, the approximately 30 minute tour is aimed at families.

Program is limited to 20 people. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Revere House at 617-523-2338. Fee: $4.50 for children ages 5-11, and accompanying adults. Price includes admission to the Revere House.

Drop-In Colonial Kids’ Activities
Bring your family to the Revere House and while you are here, add on a new experience by visiting the Pierce/Hichborn House to try on clothes like Paul Revere’s kids wore, write with quill pens, and learn the rules to colonial games. This program is FREE with admission to the house and reservations are NOT required.
