Watch as the giant (90’x45’) Rushmore Flag is unfurled in celebration of the Museum’s 40th anniversary and ribbon cutting of its new exhibit “Forest to Frigate.”

Enter the 1790s and follow the story from the forest in which “old Ironsides” timbers grew to her launch as a fully formed frigate. Decide for yourself what kind of ship to build, meet men like Paul Revere who labored to bring her to life, and test your shipyard skills in the Museum’s newest hands-on exhibit. Come explore the evidence and see how the young nation launched a legend.

Come celebrate the amazing progress of USS Constitution’s current restoration. After viewing hidden parts of the Ship now revealed during dry dock, visit the Museum and discover the secrets that made her so successful.

The Museum’s new interactive exhibit, “Forest to Frigate,” lets you examine the science, technology, and engineering that created a superior warship and challenges you to put your knowledge and skill to use in designing your own.

Hands on/minds programs and exhibits ongoing through Harborfest and beyond.
