Thomas Fracker was a shipbuilder who had a residence or shop on Ship St., later Ann St., in Boston, Massachusetts and worked out of a shipyard located at Union Wharf.
A Descendant of Thomas Fracker, Stanley Black Fracker, wrote in an article published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register that Thomas “did not participate either in military or political disturbances, and his life has largely escaped public notice.” However, correspondence between other descendants of Thomas Fracker suggests that he told his grandchildren about his participation in the Boston Tea Party. Thomas Fracker has family lore associated with his participation in the Boston Tea Party, though no contemporary sources have been found to place him firmly on board the ships.
Thomas Fracker died in Boston, Massachusetts on September 6, 1825. He is buried in Boston’s Copp’s Hill Burying Ground.
