(October 21, 1733February 9, 1790)

John Fulton, a distiller from Boston, Massachusetts, joined his brothers-in-law, the Bradlees, in destroying tea on December 16, 1773.

In addition to his participation in the Boston Tea Party and his relationship to the Bradlee family, John Fulton was married to Sarah (Bradlee) Fulton, famously dubbed the “Mother of the Boston Tea Party,” for her purported aid in disguising her husband and brothers before they made their way to Griffin’s Wharf. Currently, no records of military service for John Fulton have been found; however, he was appointed “wood-corder” for the town of Medford in 1782.

John Fulton died in Medford, Massachusetts, on February 9, 1790.
