Thomas Gerrish

Though Thomas Gerrish is listed as a participant of the Boston Tea Party in both Dr. Benjamin Carp’s book Defiance of the Patriots and a list written by Sarah Gammell, the daughter of fellow participant John Gammell, little record of vital information exists for Gerrish.

According to Carp, Thomas Gerrish was a mariner who was paid by merchant Caleb Davis, a member of the Boston Committee of Correspondence, for a month’s service aboard the vessel Kingston two years before the Boston Tea Party.  

There are no known records of the death and burial location of Thomas Gerrish.
