(October 4, 1719 – 1800)

In the Portland Daily Press, it was recorded in the November 9, 1895 issue that “the remains of David Decker, a member of the famous ‘Boston Tea Party,’” were lying in a “pauper’s grave.”

Other than this mention, and one from the Daughters of the American Revolution who marked his grave in 1899, there are no other contemporary sources that mention David Decker having participated in the Boston Tea Party, so he has been designated an “Eyewitness to History,” until more records can be found.
