Joseph Shed, born in Boston June 17th, 1732, was a carpenter by trade and worked on Faneuil Hall during its rebuilding and enlargement. He was a friend of Samuel Adams, often having him to his home to drink punch, and many other patriots of his time; he was also an ardent Jeffersonian Democrat. He later died in Boston October 18th, 1812.
