(1750 – October 28, 1831)

Joseph Boardman’s descendants claim he was present at the Boston Tea Party, according to an 1893 History of Islesborough, Maine. All that can be found in the records of Joseph Boardman, besides his family’s written history, is that he was a farmer who could have been living in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1773, but no records have thus been found to confirm this.

What can be confirmed in the history of Joseph Boardman is that he and his family moved to Maine in the Spring 1774, and settled in Islesboro.
