Samuel Howard, a shipwright, was born in 1752 in Suffolk County, Massachusetts and was a participant in the Boston Tea Party. He resided at the “Mansion House”, which stood on the site of the old Mariner’s Church, North Square. He died in 1797 and is buried at the Copps Hill Burying Ground in Boston, Tomb 120.
